![]() I’d probably end up going greybeard instead of marauder for a bit extra cool down reduction, and berate from the get go, especially since longswords work as well as axes, but it’s preference as well. That being said, keeping str at 18 for convenience is fine. Same with strength, if you’re going full meta: stalkers and pyramids aren’t really a threat with ego projection, so you can farm up plenty of nullweight orbs if you’re concerned about carryweight. If you want to go full meta, You can probably drop two headed to pick up a 3 pointer, as ego became much more trivial to farm with the ridiculous nectar injector recipe, though it’ll be slightly harder to farm glimmer early on. Ideally, the companions will eventually be strong enough that the True Esper would rarely need to fight himself.Īny problems with my plan? Any ways it could be improved? The super long term goal is to either Dominate/Body Swap with an psychic assassin to permanently render all psychic assassins/extradimensional hunters neutral, or water ritual companions and train them faster than the psychic assassins can keep up. Beguiled/Proselytized neutral companions suffice for the early game, but I'll keep an eye out for legendaries I can water ritual into following me - as water ritual'd companions don't fill a precious Beguile/Proselytize slot. The long term goal is to stack all of firepower and mental mutations into companions, but keep my own mental mutations/ego low to avoid problems with the Seekers of the Sightless Way. Abuse Precog to get Dominate, Dominate the powerleveled meatshield, spend his points on good mutations via Precog, then clone him in case the current version dies. So far so good.Īfter all of that, the build enters it's final form: Scamming the merchants of the Six Day Stilt for large quantities of EXP via the bookseller -> Librarian racket, hoarding Cloning Draught from alchemists, and finding a level 1 meatshield to powerlevel using the Librarian racket. That's as easy as earning a recoiller from the starter village, grabbing a good meatshield with beguile, abusing Precog while descending shafts, and recoilling out the moment a droid is found. To get to the Barathrumites, I first need to survive Golgotha. Tinkering can be bought with Rep from the Barathrumites, meaning I only need to spend skill points on Tinker I to get this build running. To get Ego high enough to Proselytize vendors, Tinker I and the Two Faced helmet mod is needed, along with the knullworm helmets that goost ego. The idea is to grab an easy starting quests, survive the trip to the Six Day Stilt to level up and learn First Aid to offset Hemophilia, then begin earning rep with the Mechanimists to eventually learn Proselytize, which will be used to scam the Six Day Stilt vendors later on. That said, I see an argument for the salt dunes, as it is close to the Six Day Stilt, the Issachari Banner de-aggros Issachari raiders enough to make ambushing them easy - which in turn grants an easy early game source of guns, ammo, and artifacts to sacrifice to the Six Day Stilt. Plus, it's sad whenever I see it in ruins because I didn't start there. ![]() Extra EXP from the guarunteed tinker quest, safe starting location for the early grind, and harvestry so I can start collecting cooking ingredients early. I find that to equip life saving armor and gadgets in the late game, high strength is mandatory.Īny location works, but I like the OG Joppa. There's no reason to drop Beguiling, as a 3 cost mutation in character creation is equally expensive as a 3 cost mutation via levelling, and I have no better 2 cost mutations to buy.īetween dismembering faces to boost ego, and the inherent strength boost, Marauder is probably the best class for the True Esper. Telepathy is the 1 pointer I took, with my alternatives being Kindle (meh), Sense Psychic, and Night Vision (both made obsolete by Clairvoyance in the mid game). Clairvoyance is the last of the 2 cost abilities worth taking. Mental Mirror negates most of the risk from the Seekers of the Sightless Way in the mid-late game. Precognition is the bread and butter of any meta build. Painful early game, irrelevant late game. Mutations: Hemophilia (-4) Two Headed (2), Precognition (4), Beguiling (3), Ego Projection (2), Mental Mirror (2), Clairvoyance, Telepathy (1) ![]() Intelligence could arguably be a secondary dump stat, but I like getting the Trash sifting perks early in a run. All stats are useful and precious, so I'm fairly certain not pumping anything past 18 is the right call. Note: I am not currently on the Beta Branch.Īll stats at 18 except Ego, which is the early game dump stat for Espers that want to be meta.
